Car driving tests will restart in England on Thursday 22nd April 2021 with new social distancing and safety precautions in place. The first set of tests are for those people who had their driving test cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. See below for details on the process you need to take to rebook your cancelled test and how the DVSA is managing the booking process.

From 12 April 2021 (at the earliest), you’ll be allowed to restart:

From 22 April 2021 (at the earliest): car driving & theory tests will restart

This date is subject to change and will be confirmed nearer the time.
